SuperSmash: Physics Battle (Incl. Multiplayer) ...
As with its predecessors, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a departure from traditional fighting games, notably in its simplified move commands and its emphasis on ring outs over knockouts. This installment also includes a deeper single-player mode than its predecessors, known as The Subspace Emissary. This mode is a plot-driven, side-scrolling beat 'em up game featuring Brawl's playable characters. Super Smash Bros. Brawl supports multiplayer battles with up to four combatants and is the first game of its franchise to support online battles through Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Also, Animal Crossing is an ideal multiplayer game for homes where any sort of group play becomes a battle royale. There's no winning, just planting trees, catching fish and chatting with other players -- an ideal video game scenario for the super-stressed. Just be forewarned that you can only make one island per Switch, so get used to sharing.
The Corgi Engine is a Unity 2D + 2.5D Platformer Kit, available on the Unity Asset Store. It's a very fast, single or local multiplayer non-physics based engine, packed with features, described below. It's mobile friendly, works well with other assets, and is basically everything you need to start creating your own 2D game right now. The Corgi Engine is recommended by Unity as part of its 2D Essentials Pack.
Melee is the only multiplayer game mode in Super Smash Flash. Up to four players can select their characters by dragging their respective tokens on the character selection screen to their characters' mugshots. Of these, up to two characters may be controlled by a human player, and up to four may be controlled by an artificial intelligence, with players being able to select how difficult they will be. Players can also choose to play either free-for-all or team battles. Once all characters are selected, players can then select the stage to fight the match on, and the match begins once selected.
Due to this game celebrating Nintendo's 130th anniversary, the game focuses more on the history of Nintendo as a whole and it's effect on gaming, reviving past and "forgotten" characters from Nintendo's past. One of the most notable inclusions to the roster is the first 4th party characters, Shonen Jump's Goku, Ichigo, Naruto and Luffy, Attack on Titan's Eren Jeagar, and Disney's Mickey Mouse. The game also attempts to mix the competitive side and the causal side of smash for the first time in the series. The musical score of this game is a collective mix of various composers across the world. Over 85+ composers came to make the soundtrack for the game, making the number hit over 900+ tracks, having the most music tracks of any Smash game to date. The game uses an engine called Havok provided by an Irish company of the same name. The game released on December 20th, 2021.Smash Switch supports three types of controllers - the Joycon, the Pro Controller, and the GameCube controller. One of the most popular of the video game genres, Battle Royale is typically a multiplayer online video game that combines last-man-standing gameplay with survival, exploration, and scavenging elements of a survival game. In most cases, games consist of many individual players, pair of two players or a small squad (typically three or five players). The goal of battle royale games is to eliminate as many opponents as possible within a diminishing amount of area, with the last player or team standing victorious. Players start with minimal equipment and must eliminate all opponents while avoiding being trapped outside of the restricted area.

Moving Out is hands down one of my favorite multiplayer Nintendo Switch games. It is described as a physics-based moving simulator. You are given a specific number of items in each house, which you have to move onto a moving truck.
Lego Brawls is a kid-friendly brawler that lets players compete in four-on-four multiplayer battles using all sorts of realistic and comedic Lego minifigure fighters. If your family is familiar with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the gameplay here is similar, with fast combat that sees all of the players run around and duke it out at the same time. Lego Brawls gives players the freedom to create some wacky fighters by mixing and matching the Lego bricks they unlock over time. It also features safe multiplayer interactions, since players are identified using generated in-game usernames, rather than any real, personal information. Check out some Lego Brawls gameplay in our First Look for the game.
Chivalry 2 is pandemonium. After a surprisingly thorough tutorial where the game teaches players how to expertly wield giant broadswords (naturally unwieldy weapons), players are entered into a team-based multiplayer siege or battle royale where all that training goes out the window. Chivalry captures the chaos of having 64 players with swords collide with each other and fight for survival. There's nothing else quite like it.
